If you wish to ask for a refund for your tickets, please follow
the following steps.

Refund requests for tickets


If your ticket allows a refund, with or without a fee, you can request your refund through the View/Modify your reservations page. This can be done for tickets issued between 2 days and 12 months ago. If several people are included in the same reservation file, the refund request applies to all tickets on that file, as long as each ticket allows a refund. For Flying Blue award tickets, for tickets that have already been changed and/or reissued and for refund of airport taxes on non-refundable tickets, please submit a refund request by filling in the form below:

Our refunds Department handles refund requests for tickets issued by Air France (starting with 057) in Bulgaria.

Please check if Air France has issued your ticket: the ticket number begins with 057.
Air France appears in the upper left-hand corner of the ticket under the mention "issuing carrier".
For electronic tickets the number appears on your Electronic Ticket Itinerary Receipt.
If another airline is mentioned, please submit your refund request to that carrier.

We remind you that only original documents are accepted (photocopies or faxes are not accepted), and we suggest that you retain photocopies for your records.

Administration charges for refund requests.

Please be aware that a cancellation charge may apply depending on the rules applicable to the fare type purchased. For tickets booked on the Air France website, Air France call centre or the Air France ticket office, the administration charges are as follows:

  • For refund requested on www.airfrance.bg via View/Modify my reservations : No additional administration charges 

  • For refunds requested on the phone and processed by the Air France call centre: 20 EUR administration charge

  • For refund requested via the online refund form and processed by the Air France call centre: 20 EUR administration charge


For all of the above administration charges, some exceptions may apply.

For tickets purchased via a travel agency, please contact directly the agency.

Please be aware that you can only request an online refund if you bought your ticket on the Air France websites, at the Air France call center or at the Air France desk at one of our airports. If a travel agency issued your ticket, please contact them directly to request a refund.

If you have purchased insurance online along with your ticket and if you intend to request a refund, please contact Mondial Assistance. They will be able to provide you with a written confirmation that you have no ongoing claim with them.
Please send this form to the Refund Department along with your refund request in order to enable us to process your applicable refund.

Unused Ticket


Please submit all original unused flight coupons to Air France Refunds Department.

Should Travel Agents or Direct customers need to fax additional documents direct to European Refunds team.

Lost Ticket


In order to apply for a refund on the basis of a lost ticket, please submit the following documents:

  • A signed original lost ticket application. Applications may be obtained from any Air France airport office, or from your Travel Agent. 

  • If a Travel Agent issued the lost ticket, please request a copy of the agency coupon and include it in your request. 

  • If a replacement ticket was purchased, please submit the corresponding original passenger receipt.


Please be advised that the refund will be processed when the validity of the document expires which is 12 months from the date of issue. We remind you that an administration fee will be assessed.

Downgrade


For downgrade fare adjustments, please mail us your original passenger receipt and original boarding card for the flight in question.

Denied Boarding Compensation


If you were denied boarding on an Air France flight and given a voucher as compensation, please mail the original coupon marked "coupon exchange" to our department.

Update on your request


We will always send a confirmation email to your email address once your ticket has been refunded.
