Your Perfect Paris Date Night

Starting from February: Somewhere in this Life is a modern show playing in the home of Parisian comedy, just around the corner from the iconic Café de la Paix.

This contemporary piece playing in Paris' most romantic theatre is nothing short of heartwarming and tells a story of coming to appreciate a new presence in a once repetitive life. An adaptation, with a very French twist, of the Boston-based Broadway classic Park your Car in Harvard Yard, this modern comedy features well-known names to French stage and screen. An aging forever-bachelor and retired music teacher is obliged to hire a new housekeeper. As the two are abruptly forced into a shared existence, the mismatched pair is both hilarious and moving. The grumpy retiree and mousy recently-widowed Catherine make an unlikely duo, and may even come to discover this is not the first time their paths have crossed.

Premiering February 2, 2018 at the home of Parisian comedy, the Théâtre Edouard VII. Many celebrated French comedians have crossed through the doors of this hidden-in-plain-site address. With its cobblestones courtyard and decadent downstairs bar, the theater brings its own brand of romantic wow-factor before the lights even go down, in your plush red velveteen seats.
Your romantic Parisian evening doesn't stop here, however. Less than a five-minute walk from Théâtre Edouard VII is the legendary Café de la Paix restaurant, overlooking the Opéra Palais Garnier. If you happen to be in Paris for Valentine's Day, know that the Café de la Paix is cooking up something really special on February 14th, with renowned French chefs and luxurious lingerie designers!

What else is playing in Paris' most beautiful theatres

Now Playing: Cyrano de Bergerac is a classic French tale of unrequited love, playing in an ornate historical playhouse.

This spectacular classic transports audiences back to 17th century Paris. Born with an abnormally large nose, the both courageous swordsman and sensitive poet Cyrano de Bergerac finds himself incapable to reveal his feeling to his one true love. In one tumultuous evening, Cyrano finds himself in a three-sided battle for the heart of his dear-beloved Roxane. Further revelations force Cyrano to choose between his brilliant talent for a poetic twist of words and his gallant sword fighting to win over Roxane. Will he succeed in conveying his feelings, before it's too late and she falls for another? Arguably the most famous love triangle in history, Cyrano de Bergerac has been adapted countless times across international stages, even actor Steve Martin once interpreted the famous role of Cyrano!

Playing at the historic Théâtre Le Ranelagh, the ornate playhouse features carved oak throughout the French-style theatre. The only remaining relic of what was once a chateau on the city outskirts, the rich decoration gleaming in the stage light of the Théâtre Le Ranelagh makes for a perfectly romantic Parisian setting. After the show, enjoy a stroll along the Seine River as you admire the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower overhead.
