Starry-eyed at Houston Ballet

Created in 1955, Houston Ballet has become one of the major classical ballet companies in the United States.

Houston is a city of culture and shows. It attracts artists and craftsmen in various fields and provides for the best plays, operas and museums of all kinds. Delusion of grandeurs? Maybe... Still, when you are in town, there is no way to be bored and you are likely to struggle with that scheduling of so many activities.

If you fancy a gala reception, go to Preston Street at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance to see classical ballet performances. The company is considered to be one of the very best in the United States, and programmed three ballets for the 2016/2017 season: Madame Butterfly, Cinderella and La Bayadère. It often programs must-sees like Romeo and Juliet or The Nutcracker, which are accessible for all ages.

Houston Ballet is also a world-renowned dance school. Upcoming talents come from everywhere to learn and improve their craft in dance halls before, one day, performing on stage in front of mesmerized spectators.
